About the Project
Technology can be a valuable tool to amplify the experience of tourists and make the discovery of places and destinations of interest a memorable event, especially in the case when visiting cultural, historical and artistic sites.
In this case, Augmented Reality opened the doors of a historic private mansion such as Villa Albertini in Gressoney, Valle D'Aosta, giving the public the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful residences of the early 20th century in a truly original and unprecedented way.
By framing the contents in AR made for the occasion - photos, advertising posters, images -tourists and residents were able to begin a real guided tour to discover Villa Albertini: outside the villa, inside its magnificent interiors, and access a series of extra multimedia contents such as videos and Internet pages to deepen the history, curiosities and useful information to be able to reach and discover it in its entirety. Both before and after visiting it in person as well.
